TeamAmp comes with three out of the box question options: Standard, Agile and Post Implementation Review (PIR). Each of these three surveys have 26 standardised questions.
Although the wording of these questions cannot be changed, you can create your own custom variation of these three survey types to either add tailored question tips, or add additional free text questions to display at the end of the survey
Question tips can be used to add custom context to enable your users to better understand the question in the context of your specific project.
Additional free text questions allow your users to add project-specific free text questions to the survey. Note that the responses to these additional questions do not appear on the standard online report but are available to be exported via “Manage Responses”
You can create a new survey template with custom question tips or additional questions via "Settings" in the top right menu.
The first step to creating your custom survey template is to select one of the three standard surveys to use as a base. In this example, we want to modify the Standard survey, so I will select “Clone” next to that survey type, and enter in a name for my new survey. Note the new name must be different to the survey you cloned. In this case, I will name the new survey template "Space Corp: Standard: New Trip to the Moon." Once this is complete, the survey will appear in the list beneath the three standard survey options.
Now this has been created, I can make my custom modifications to this survey template by clicking the eye icon on the right. In this instance I would like to add a question tip for one of the questions, and a new free text question and question tip at the end of the survey. Note that the option to delete a new survey template (via the rubbish can on the right hand side) is only active before the first survey using the template has been launched. Post launch, the template can no longer be deleted.
Now that I have made these changes, I can navigate back to the "Survey Templates" and click "Preview" to see how the description for question 17 and my new question at the end will display for the user.
Now that I am happy with how it looks. I can follow the usual steps to create a review, and select this new template "Space Corp: Standard: New Trip to the Moon" from the list of options available to launch a review.
Once the review is launched, answers to any additional free text questions can be viewed and exported via "Manage Responses - Additional Question Responses."
