SolutionAmp: PLAN Step 1: Create a Project (Assurance Unit)

Overview

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to provide a basic administration reference guide to create and maintain an Assurance Unit – i.e. Project.  A Project setup in SolutionAmp for the purpose of planning, assessing, and reporting its progress against certainty target.

 

Pre-Requisites

This document assumes the following has been provisioned:

  1. A User with user access in SolutionAmp (https://console.ai-assurance.com.au/login)
  2. An Organisational Unit has been created.  For this guide, an Organisational Unit has been set up and named “Training Management
  3. The User is familiar with the SolutionAmp tool, including Menu navigation
  4. In this guide, the "User" should be a Project Manager, Project Director or PMO of a Project

 

Expected Outcomes

By the end of this document, the reader will be able to complete the administration maintenance functions of add, update, delete Projects.

Project Maintenance

  • To maintain Projects in the system, from the Home screen select the Plan item as shown below.

Projects can be added to any Organisation Unit in the Instance.  In this example, the Instance is Training which contains two Organisation Units: Demo and End User Training

 

Add Project

To add a Project to the End User Training Organisation Unit, select Options on the right hand side of the panel and select “Create Assurance Unit” as shown below.

 

Once selected, you will be presented with the Create Assurance Unit screen below. Enter Name = “Project 1: Example Project”, Description = “This Project is setup for training purposes” and select Create.

 

 The new Project will be shown under the End User Training Organisational Unit.


Once a new Project has been created, a Delivery Model will need to be adopted for the Project.  For detailed instructions for this process, please refer to the user guide: “Delivery Model Adoption and Tailoring”.

 

Edit Project

To update a Project, select the Options button, and click on Edit.  This will allow the Project Name and Project Description to be changed.

 

Delete Project

To delete a Project (Assurance Unit), select the Options button and click on Edit.  This will display the below screen.  Please note that the “Delete” button is enabled only if there are no reviews for the Project (Assurance Unit).

To Delete the Project, click Delete and a confirmation message will be displayed.

To confirm and complete the deletion, select OK.
